It was my responsibility to open the store, which was an involved process, setting up make-line, taking stock, and final cleaning before the store was opened for the day. I had no help, which was a drag since I was on a tight timetable.
Being at driver for Domino's can either be great or awful. If there's a lot of drivers, you probably won't make a lot of money. The management is decent. I only had 1 terrible manager out of the 6 I can remember. Pay is minimum while "In Store", $2.50 while "Out of Store" but the system doesn't always calculate the pay right because of how it's programmed.
stressful...i did learn how to run the business... if you drive in a good area you make decent money as a delivery driver..... they will not hesitate to fire you if they feel you have underachieved, and the metric they use for judgment is wildly unattainable depending on your location.
The Dominos Franchise of San Antonio TX is joke. They start the pay off at minimum wage. No one wants to work at that pay rate with how little staff they usually have makes the work harder on busier days. Advancement for management is also a joke as someone who has been working there for 2 months with no management experience can be moved up. You always have to have a flexible schedule if this is your only job. General Managers have it harder if the store has none of the staff. They have to work about 6 days a week, maybe even 60-70 hours with a pay that is only for 50 hours. The District Managers vary on who they are if they are good or not. Some try hard to help, others just let you know that you are doing a bad job and do nothing to help even if you try to ask for it. There are no cash registers except a till. The CSR's have a small bag with $20 to use for customers. This system is terrible as they could take the cash and not run it through in the system as the order being paid, which makes the store money total short at the end of the night and the money short comes out of the pay check of the GM. Bonuses were given to GM's but they add up if the stores Royalty sales were positive each day. If they are negative and the store is losing profit, then it comes out from the bonus and you get nothing except regular play.
No breaks, No staff, Terrible Franchise

The key role is how to take orders efficiently and accurately. Always knowing the specials and how to sell them is most beneficial. It is a group centered work environment so you'll see a lot of team work and become more social during your tenure there. It is a faced paced job but management does prepare you with thorough training.
