The hours can be hard to deal with. The work life balance can be bad especially for management. I like the fast pace but it can make it hard to staff the store with qualified employees.
Points positifs
Pizza

I’ve been with the company for 6 years and I’ve worked in a few different stores. Every store I’ve worked in is relatively similar in the sense of culture and routine, sort of; it spends on management, of course. I’ve had some great managers and not so great managers; I’ve learned from them all. This job is very easy once you get the hang of it, but it’s very fast pace, which can make it difficult to properly train staff. It does seem hard to find people who genuinely care about the job, and that’s one of the hardest things. Understaffing also seems to be a consistent issue. Overall, I do have fun almost every day and I think Domino’s is a perfect first job, or career if you go management route or higher.
Points positifs
Flexible scheduling, cash in hand every night for drivers, team oriented, fun, benefits for full time employees, growth opportunities, decent pay
Points négatifs
Long hours, sometimes no breaks if it’s busy, short staffing, service, improper or rushed training

I worked for dominos on and off for more than a decade. All stores and franchises are different but they operate pretty much the same. Being a manager is stressful if you don’t have a solid set of employees. The pay is “okay” for the amount of hours and mental energy you have to put in but the job itself can be super fun if you like fast paced and challenging. Some would say that you can make more money being a delivery driver, which has its own set of stressful situations, but not nearly what the managers have to deal with. It’s an easy job to go back to or fall back on if you’re in a bind and need a steady paycheck, but honestly, I hope I never have to go back.
Points positifs
Free food, flexible shifts, fun environment and fun coworkers
Points négatifs
Long hours, can be hard physically, managers deserve more pay for the amount of stress they deal with.

You'll have good days and alot of bad depending on where you're placed. They will push you hard and expect you to drop everything abd go to work if they're short handed. Its frowned upon if you say no and they'll guilt trip you for it. No work life balance.
Points positifs
Pay
Points négatifs
Stress, highhhh expectations

It’s a fun workplace and you meet some amazing people but it’s always very understaffed which probably has to do with being very underpaid. I enjoy it but the lack of staff is exhausting.
Points positifs
Free food, fun environment
Points négatifs
Low pay, no benefits

If they were staffed properly and pay a little more it would be a decent work place but because it has no workers you as employee will be overworked to make up for the lack of employees

Worst and most unprofessional company I have ever worked for. They do not care about their employees and it shows. No sick days, No COVID pay, If you get COVID they don’t pay you for the time you miss. If you need a day off but your store needs you you can’t get that day off so you’ll miss everything every sports event, baby’s first steps, must work weekends, no paid holidays, can’t ask off on a holiday either. If you ask for time off they don’t like it. Everything is your problem upper management doesn’t care.

As a general manager you will essentially have zero work life balance. Now a days it’s impossible to get anyone to work so be ready to gear up everyday
Points positifs
Hiring a good crew
Points négatifs
Long hours till 3 Am

Domino's is more concerned with maintaining national level pricing and an overabundance of special deals then they are with providing good service and quality. Labor targets are difficult to reach because 5.99 per pizza in California is very different than in Texas. So, for lower volume locations, it's near impossible to hit both profitability and service goals. Employees are expected to take the brunt of that poor decision and work 4 times as hard for less than twice the pay simply based on what state they work in. This results in very high turnover, constant training constraints (for which there is no budget), and unhappy guests. Domino's needs to understand that they are operating in places that have very different needs and very different financial situations. Currently, they try to force one pricing structure across the board which creates a very unbalanced playing field. It is miserable.

At first I loved this job but after working here for 2 1/2 years it starts to not be worth it anymore. The amount of hours a general manager is asked to work is ridiculous for the little pay that we get. I wouldn’t recommend this job to anyone!
Points positifs
Secure salary
Points négatifs
Low pay, bad hours, ( rude, sexist, and racist owner)

Overall its not a bad company, but like most companies, the owners and high ups have no idea what goes on in store. You are required to run all positions alone, with little to no help. Staffung issues like anywhere, but Dominos doesnt want to pay management. They will easily pay drivers 8-10/hour + tips and managers 10-13/hour to do 3x's the work with a heck of alot more stress.
Points positifs
Upper management is hands off
Points négatifs
Upper management is hands off

This place needed a lot of work when I started. We definitely turned this place around and made it a fun environment to work on and the turnover isn't so bad anymore. People enjoy coming to work now and it's really super great. I am unfortunately leaving to finish nursing school but this has been one of the best jobs I've ever had and the support from upper management has been phenomenal.
Points positifs
Opportunities and pay
Points négatifs
Work/life balance is difficult

If you want to work for a company that literally treats it's employees like trash and demands literally all of your time including every holiday and driving hours away to work with no compensation. It's the place for you. Car accidents, death in family, and even with covid you are required to be at work.
Points positifs
With tons of remakes....free food
Points négatifs
No quality of life

If you want to work for Dominos, don't work for a franchise store. Work for a corporate store. Franchises are horrible and treat their employees terribly!

They make you work 55+ hours a week. There is never enough labor to have the staffing that you need. You'll never get holidays off as with all food service management. If you don't care about spending time with your family then this is the place for you... you'll never see them if they live a 9-5 schedule.

Don't make this your full time job. Its not worth the stress on you or your car. Upper management only cares about numbers so they will threaten you constantly to make them perfect.
Points positifs
Cash every night from driving
Points négatifs
Upper management only cares about numbers and money

You just gotta hope you join a franchise that has respectful and caring owners. The franchise that I was running a store for was run by an individual who offered little to no support and was rather abusive to their employees.
Points positifs
Great pay for General Managers
Points négatifs
No work life balance, Potential awful franchise owners

I don’t blame the brand, it’s the franchisees. They promise bonuses that you work 60+ a week to achieve and never get it. Super cheap on labor, so you are constantly deciding to run short or have a late delivery, and get in trouble for that, because they track it all. Random health inspections, that deserve a bonus cause to pass it’s not easy, it’s constant habit forming and building in you store and encouraging people that get paid below minimum wage, to do the right thing. To never see a bonus, and don’t get me started on raises , it’s a joke.
Points positifs
You can steal a pizza here and there
Points négatifs
Terrible insurance, no breaks, no raises
