All very nice people, not the best management. Hardest part of the job is complaints from customers. typical day at work would be fun, varied and challenging at times. the most enjoyable part is putting things right for customers.

Great place to work!

My time at Interflora was brief as I was on a short term contract doing night shift in the admin department on Valentines Day and Mothers Day.
The shifts were 12 hours so very long but there was free drinks and biscuits to help you stay awake, and the place was well air conditioned to help.
The work wasn't difficult as you were helping with any problems such as Missing Deliveries, Damaged Items, Errors in the Delivery, No Florists etc. which were challenging at times but you always had staff around to help with everything who were always happy and very supportive.
I would recommend Interflora to anyone looking for work as it really was a great place to work.

Flexible Work Life

We work in a relaxed environment, processing orders both nationally and internationally from customers. We listen, we laugh and at time we cry with our customers as they are not just ordering flowers or gifts but an experience that we share with them.
We clock in and out, not worrying about unfinished work as there isn't any.
Management are supportive and encouraging with an open door policy and attitude towards their staff.
We work only 5 hour shifts, 3 days a week, talk about family and student friendly hours!
Highly recommended.

I don't generally enjoy shift work, but at Interflora it wasn't so bad, i was asked to leave after taking 2 days off ill.

A typical day would involve you card swipe into building to start your shift. In call centre environments you are not allowed to be late under any circumstance. You pay for this in penalty to pay. You can however negotiate a late start with supervisors if you let them know in advance. It is very time orientated to the minute. Codes are entered on telephony equipment. Codes to start shirt, end shift, take breaks. Take calls all the time on shift. Expected to be pleasant and helpful. Talk and type information into systems previously trained in. A script of what to ask is useful at the start of work here. Management on hand in centre and visible but not always available to speak to. Raise your hand for queries to be resolved internally and placing customer on hold. Your time and sales revenues are constantly monitored and reported back to you weekly by your supervisor. Co workers are friendly and approachable and extremely helpful in the mix. Atmosphere is usually upbeat. Hardest part of job is constanly mix of lates and early shifts plus working weekends too. Lots of OT offered but can be tiring. Most enjoyable part of the job is fascinating conversations with people from all over the world and in house.

Productive and fun workplace

All co-workers and management were friendly and helpful. While the job could be stressful at times the work atmosphere was relaxed. Adequate training and post-training help was given and all in all a nice place to work. The hardest part of the job were the complaint calls , as many people are hard to please and are not happy even with the top level of after service offers such as full refunds. However the key is to be empathetic , to make the customer feel you understand their problem and are willing to do anything to help. The best part of the job were the prizes and incentives for reaching targets , allowing for new challenges everyday. I learnt not to get overwhelmed but to talk through every situation in a calm manner and a resolution can always be made that is satisfactory to both the company and customer.

My typical day would start off with cleaning be shop floor and place the boards outside. I would then check the emails for income orders whilst waiting for a new the new stock to come in. When the stock arrived I would unload the lorry and place the flowers gentle on the floor and count how much was there and checking the order.
Once everything was in order I then proceeded to organise and neaten the flowers by removing some of the leaves from the bottom and trimming the stem for a fresh cut, they would then be placed in to clean bucket with fresh water and some flower food. The water would be changed once every 2/3 days. They day would then continue to making flower bouquets, serving customers, handling money, taking orders, delivers and so on. Once the day was over I brought the boards back in, I cleaned the shop floor, turned everything off and closed up. I arrived and hour early to make sure that I was on time and so I could have time to clean and present the store to high standards.
The people I worked with were very easy to work with and i bonded with them well, I was able to know about the flowers and what it was like to work with others.
What I learned from here was how to be patients with the customers, how to sell a product and how to present a working shop. I was also able to work in a constant change in the shifts. The hard part about the job was trying to boost up my confidence because I was a shy person but after the experience I have no trouble at all.
The most enjoyable part from the job was being able to create and sell my own products.

The people at Interflora were lovely. They were flexible with hours, never pressured you into more hours and were so helpful in our training. I learnt so much about the company and how to deal with upset customers. The hardest part was the amount of emails we had to get through but we were encouraged to do our best but never pressured. The best part was probably the free hot chocolate at the breaks and sitting and talking to everyone. All colleagues were very chatty and easy to talk to.

No two days are ever the same with my job. I have a very varied role which could involve having numerous projects on the go at once. A typical day would involve meeting suppliers, keeping spread sheets up to date and dealing with enquiries from the call centre regarding gifting products. I am given new projects to work on all the time so It is vital I am organised as there is so much to remember.
I most enjoy being out and about meeting new suppliers and seeing what products they have to offer. Choosing a new range is brilliant as there is so much money riding on making the right choice. The hardest part of my job is never having enough hours in the day to get everything done as deadlines can get tight. My manager is a very busy person therefore I meet only as and when I need to so it is important that I use my intitiative and I can work independantly and make wise choices.

Lively place to work but the work is repetitive and you get a lot of customers shouting at you as soon as you answer the phone!

You have to be at your desk at least 10 minutes before your shift starts and quite often you will not finish on time due to being stuck on the phone with people, You are not allowed to log off your phone even 1 minute before the end of your shift, which is why sometimes you will be on the phone 10 minutes after your shift as you do have to finish with the customer. Co workers are what kept me their as long as I was, and the team leaders are great. The managers not so great.

No era la típica empresa aburrida se realizaban un montón de actividades para amenizar el ambiente, se realizaban actividades para crear más vínculo entre los empleados y el jefe, como una partida de consola una vez a la semana. Luego había otro día en que cada uno traía algo de comer de su luegar de procedencia e intercambiábamos, era bastante interesante porque no todos eramos españoles ya que precisamente nuestro trabajo era lidiar con gente de otros países, por ejemplo yo tenía que hablar en ingés todo el tiempo...
