Langley is a family-owned company that consist of one tour operator based in Scandinavia and one Hotel & Resort operator that operates in Europe and the Caribbean. The hotel, restaurant and bar
Langley Resort Napoléon Bonaparte is a pompous resort in the picturesque village of Ile Rousse on the French paradise island Corsica. It is located right by the beach, in the centre of town. Because of this, we believe it is the ideal getaway and starting point for exploring Corsica. The hotel contains of two main buildings with a total of 144 rooms and 400 guest as maximum. The hotel also offers plenty of different excursions, activities, kids club and tennis lessons.
The restaurant at Napoléon Bonaparte serves international cuisine with local influences for breakfast and dinner in buffet style with an open kitchen area where the chefs are preparing the food in front of our guests. The pool bar serves a la carte lunch, as well as a wide range of drinks and simple meals/snacks. There is also a lounge bar in the reception area. We strive to use local products as much as possible to reduce our impact on the environment.
General job description:
The primary objective is to train all service staff members concerned within your areas and to develop the skills and ability of these staff to handle guest situations properly in an efficient and courteous manner in accordance with Langley policies and procedures.
Be responsible for offering our guests fast, efficient, and friendly service in accordance with Langley hotels standard. Ensure maximum guest satisfaction in order to increase sales by encouraging repeat business.
Key areas and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement approved plans and objectives for your department
- Secure consistent quality level as set by Langley’s core standards in the restaurant & bar
- Supervise, direct, coordinate and participate with the staff engaged in the service of guests ensuring consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standard
- Responsible for maximizing sales and cost efficiency in beverage units and ensure that costs are kept within the set guidelines
- Train and follow-up upselling
- Suggest and plan activities and special event within your areas to enhance the guest experience
- Responsible for solving any problems in service with guests and support staff
- Responsible for keeping stock and inventory of beverages, cleaning material and restaurant material
- Assure staff is handling allergies/diets with respect
- Secure a weekly schedule for restaurant breakfast, lunch, dinner and bar
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of simular manager role within the F&B department
- European VISA or working VISA allowing you to work in France
- English i necessary, French and/or Swedish is a big plus
- Experience in working in a multicultural environment
- Enjoying working in a high tempo environment & with a can-do attitude
- Availible to work 6 days/week
