Accounting Operations & Tax Compliance
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and oversee accounting records.
- Communicate with client representatives to gather necessary financial information and maintain strong client relationships.
- Prepare periodic tax declarations, including VAT, corporate tax, and INTRASTAT.
- Review financial accounts and prepare financial statements along with required tax declarations.
Managing Tasks While Respecting Deadlines and Budgets
- Prioritize urgent assignments with the approval of the Engagement Manager.
- Adhere to the weekly schedule and deadlines set by the Engagement Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues to optimize time management and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Work within the allocated budget for each phase of the engagement and promptly report any deviations.
- Staying Informed on Taxation and Relevant Legislation
- Stay informed about updates in accounting and tax regulations.
- Attend relevant training programs to maintain and enhance technical expertise.
Enterprise Spirit
- Develop a deep understanding of client industries and market dynamics.
- Apply insights into business models, governance structures, and regulatory frameworks to enhance financial processes.
- Identify opportunities for operational efficiency and process improvements.
- Analyze systems, policies, and procedures to optimize financial operations.
- Utilize financial tools and market data to generate strategic insights.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address complex accounting challenges.
Technology and Digital:
- Identify and escalate client requests that do not align with accounting best practices or regulatory standards.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial data through rigorous validation and review processes.
- Use digital tools and data visualization techniques to present financial insights effectively.
- Stay up to date with financial technology trends and apply them to improve efficiency.
- Continuously enhance technical skills through on-the-job experience and professional development.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Bac +3 or equivalent).
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in a fiduciary environment.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and LUXGAAP.
- Solid understanding of VAT, CIT, MBT, NWT, and other tax regulations.
- Proven expertise in corporate accounting.
- Fluent French + English
