Compliance Analyst Apprentice (f/m/d)

About the Job 

The Global Investment Advisory Compliance (IAC) team designs and delivers a global compliance programme covering advisory, training, monitoring, and reporting for the company’s investment activities, including research, portfolio management, trading, and pricing, across the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.

The team works closely across regions to align policies, training, and monitoring, and to address cross-border issues related to traditional asset classes such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, foreign exchange, and multi-asset strategies.

As a core part of the Global Compliance function, the IAC team partners with Legal, Risk, and other support teams to help ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, client expectations, and industry standards.

What you do

• Support the team’s dedicated business analyst in identifying, designing, developing, and coordinating the implementation of digital solutions to meet team needs
• Integrate automation and machine learning into compliance monitoring
• Implement a case management solution for compliance advice requests, status monitoring, and project participation and progress
• Maintain and enhance the team’s data-driven compliance tool in Python
• Automate management reporting using PowerBI
• Help identify team data needs in collaboration with the AGI Data IT Specialists team.

What you bring

• Enrolled in an engineering school, business school, or university program, majoring in Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or a related field; a specialization in financial products and markets is preferred, ideally with exposure to asset management
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
• Highly diligent with strong attention to detail, while maintaining the ability to understand the broader context
• Strong coding skills; proficiency in Python is required for the role
• Solid knowledge of Power BI
• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as GitHub is a plus
• Experience with Databricks is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to effectively use Microsoft Copilot, with a strong commitment to ethical and responsible AI practices.
