Job Overview:

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and proactive intern to join our team in supporting international students as they navigate cultural transitions and make the most of their time abroad. As an intern, you’ll be part of a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring student success, cultural adaptation, and seamless logistical support during their stay.

Through this internship, you’ll gain hands-on experience in cross-cultural communication, event coordination, student support, and international program management.

Start: 7 September 2026

Duration: 6 months

KEY RESPONSABILITIES:

Student Success & Cultural Support:

• Prepare for Participant Arrivals: Collaborate with the team to ensure all logistics are in place for students’ arrival.
• Cultural Activities: Organize and lead cultural activities twice a month (typically evenings), creating enriching experiences for participants.
• Excursions Coordination: Plan and lead 1-2 weekend excursions and 2-3 day trips per semester, ensuring participants get a full experience of the local culture.
• Assist in Integration: Help students find interest groups (e.g., music, sports) and inform them of cultural events happening around the city.
• Provide Cultural Guidance: Serve as a “cultural coach,” supporting students in adapting to life in the host city and managing homesickness.
• Ongoing Communication: Maintain regular communication with the Resident Director to provide updates on student welfare and activities.

Customized Program Support:

• Program Planning: Help develop unique itineraries for U.S.-based university groups and assist in logistical planning for customized programs.
• Program Execution: Assist with the smooth execution of customized programs, ensuring students and accompanying faculty have a seamless experience.

Housing Management:

• Housing Relationships: Maintain positive relationships with housing agencies, host families, or accommodations.
• Student Housing Support: Aid students during the housing move-in process and resolve housing-related issues in collaboration with housing partners.
• Ongoing Monitoring: Ensure housing arrangements remain comfortable and communicate regularly with housing providers to address any concerns.
• Collaborate with Team: Work closely with the Student Success team to make adjustments to housing as needed throughout the program term.

General Support:

• Site Visit Coordination: Assist with logistical arrangements for any site visits, either independent or for familiarization trips.
• Creative Program Development: Proactively suggest new ideas for excursions, housing solutions, and overall program improvement.
• Team Assistance: Support the onsite manager with various tasks and special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a degree program, ideally in a related field (e.g., International Relations, Education, Cultural Studies, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate clearly and empathetically.
• Organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
• Passion for cross-cultural experiences and working with international students.
• Fluent in English and French
• Previous international experience (either study abroad or working in a multicultural setting) is a plus.
